Virginia Citizens Defense League has announced their endorsements for the 2019 General Assembly election cycle.
In an email blast that went out this morning, VCDL says-
“NEVER has an election been so crucial to preserving our right to keep and bear arms. A war on our liberty has been declared by those who want to disarm us and make our safety dependent upon the government. Draconian legislation has been introduced that would undo much of the pro-gun progress we have made over the last 20 years and add new restrictions to our liberties — an explosion of gun control at the local level, a ban on certain guns, gun confiscations, gun rationing, magazine limitations, etc. If the leadership of the General Assembly changes, the Governor is ready and willing to sign all of those gun-control bills into law. Our rights are hanging by a thread.”
Their email goes on to announce the endorsement of 13 candidates for State Senate and 23 candidates for the House of Delegates. Among the list includes the Republican nominees running in the two open state senate seats (7th and 13th), Jen Kiggans and Geary Higgins, and independent candidate Elliott Harding who is running againt long-time incumbent Sen. Creigh Deeds. In the House, the list includes Steve Adragna, who is running against late-term abortion advocate Del. Kathy Tran. All endorsed candidates received VCDL’s highest rating of “Very Pro-Gun.”
