Rep. Wexton Will Vote For Impeachment

Rep. Jennifer Wexton of Virginia’s 10th District is a hard-line liberal. To the surprise of no one, Wexton announced today that she will vote in favor of both Articles of Impeachment.

Here is her tweet from this afternoon-

Independent voters and blue dog Democrats (if they still exist) who can see this fill-in-the-blank style impeachment process for the partisan power play that it is ought to be turned-off by Wexton’s actions here. Wexton tried to soften the tone of her announcement today by saying she “did not come to Congress to impeach the President, but…” Yeah right. She was for impeachment from day one. The softer style she chose here is evidence of the potential problem her vote will cause with those independent voters.

Also announcing her vote for impeachment today was Rep. Abigail Spanberger in the 7th. Unlike Wexton, who we all knew would vote to impeach President Trump for anything, Spanberger could’ve gone against impeachment. After all, Spanberger is supposed to be a national security expert and the first Article of Impeachment does not make the case for any kind of national security concern. But this impeachment will be hard-line partisan, just like Wexton.

The 10th Congressional District is not a hard-line liberal district like the neighboring 8th and 11th. Rep. Jennifer Wexton’s radical agenda (her latest Twitter video as of this posting is about 2nd Amendment restrictions) is not the right fit for the 10th District. She’s better off moving again, but this time into the 8th. Let’s vote her out in 2020.
