“These are great numbers.” -President Donald Trump
The Trump economy is booming. Today’s announcement of 4.1% GDP growth for the 2nd quarter of 2018 is great news.
Unfortunately it is no surprise how quiet Democrats are right now. So quick to spit out negative tweets, Democrats this morning have not been commenting on the newly released GDP numbers. How about a little cheer from the party of doom and gloom?
Virginia Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine haven’t commented as of the time of this posting. Neither has the sky-is-falling town crier Rep. Gerry Connolly.
Rep. Don Beyer, on the hand, found the decency to say something positive on Twitter– “Creating American jobs and GDP growth is good no matter who is in the White House.” Glad to see at least one Democrat in Virginia understands that economic prosperity is good for America.
And then there is HBO’s Bill Maher, a favorite of the craziest lefties. Do you remember when Maher said this-
“I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point. And by the way, I’m hoping for it. Because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So, please, bring on the recession.”
Nope. Sorry, Bill. The economy is doing just fine.
What is so wrong about Maher’s statement is he is rich. A recession of any kind would have absolutely no impact on him whatsoever. A recession would have a serious negative impact on middle America, the working class, which is most of our population. And yet Maher and his lefty friends claim that Republicans only care about the wealthy. Maher’s statement is a hopeful cry for anyone other than the wealthy to suffer economic hardships all because of his personal dislike of the personality of President Donald Trump. What a terrible thing to hope for. Glad to see Maher fall flat on his face with today’s positive numbers.
4.1% is great news. Let’s appreciate that deregulation policies and free market principles are the key to economic prosperity. Hopefully the left can join the rest of America in celebrating today’s news.
