The Most Despicable Ad

This morning I watched a 1 minute video that really made my blood boil.

In today’s political climate, I must admit that I am rarely surprised by anything. When revelations of evil and/or criminal acts come to light about politicians, news personalities, Hollywood elites, etc., I typically shrug my shoulders. It’s not that I don’t care, it’s just that there is virtually nothing evil in our culture that I find shocking or unbelievable. It is all very believable. As one radio talk show host used to say about 2016, “No matter how bad it is, it can always get worse.” That’s more or less how I look at the American culture now. Just when you think it can’t get worse, it does.

However, this morning I did see something that didn’t extract the typical shrug of the shoulders from me. It really got a reaction out of me. Before you jump to conclusions, no, it didn’t have anything to do with Paul Manafort, Trump, Clinton, or Russia.

The Latino Victory Fund, an organization with offices in Washington D.C. that has both a 501c3 non-profit wing and a federal political action committee (PAC) wing, dropped a video on Saturday with the intention of impacting the Virginia governor election on Tuesday, November 7th. But before I get into the content of the actual video, a little bit about this group that I had never heard about prior to today.

According to their website:

The Latino Victory Fund is a progressive political action committee with the mission of growing Latino political power by increasing Latino representation at every level of government – from the school board to the Senate to the White House. Latino Victory identifies, recruits, and develops candidates for public office while building a permanent base of Latino donors to support them. Partnering with leading organizations, it shapes public discourse in a way that reflects the growing influence of the Latino community while also building cross-constituency alliances that can move the country forward.

Sounds like a pretty level headed, civic minded group right? Well actions speak louder than words they say, so let’s look at the actual video.

There is so much here that I could say, but I’m going to keep it simple. This group obviously wants people to think that it will be open season on non-white children if Gillespie is elected governor of Virginia. So rather than go into a lot of “how dare they” commentary, let’s talk about the real war on children since this group appears to care so much for our children’s wellbeing.

On the subject of abortion, 30% of black pregnancies end in abortion and 15% of Latino/Hispanic pregnancies end in abortion, the highest among racial demographics. Don’t know about you but that sounds like a war on non-white children to me. Abortion is the sacred cow of the progressive left. So will this group oppose Planned Parenthood? Killing these children in the womb is celebrated by the same people who want you to think that a white male driving a big truck with a Republican bumper sticker is the enemy.

Ever hear about MS-13? They are the Latino/Hispanic gang that is made up almost entirely of illegal immigrants who love sanctuary cities, specialize in kidnapping children, selling children as sex slaves, and using children in their drug running operations, just to name a few of their services. So will this group oppose the haven given to them by sanctuary cities? Apparently all this pales in regard to the much bigger threat of a white guy with a Don’t Tread On Me license plate.

Remember Ed Gillespie? The guy whose supporters hunt non-white children for sport? After harshly condemning racially motivated violence, Gillespie came out with a plan to crack down on MS-13. His statement that there were over 2,000 MS-13 members in Fairfax County alone caused Glenn Kessler from the Washington Post to jump on the case right away. Kessler revealed that there are actually only 1,400 MS-13 gang members in Fairfax County. Thank you Mr. Kessler for that comforting information. I am sure the law abiding residents of Fairfax County will sleep much better tonight knowing that there are 600 fewer self-identified violent criminals in their midst than they may have thought.

Obviously I could go on to talk about education, and a list of other issues that have a direct impact on the safety and wellbeing of our children. My point should be pretty clear now. The truth is that there is a group of people who are willing to use scare tactics and the exploitation of children to advance a political agenda. Their claims are preposterous. White men hunting down kids in the street? Are you kidding me? Who actually thinks this could be real? This is truly the most despicable ad I’ve seen in a long time and believe me, that’s saying something.
