Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) has released their annual report on the voting records of General Assembly members for the 2019 session.
The top 3 Republicans in the State Senate include a tie for number one between Senators Ryan McDougle and Mark Obenshain. Second is Senator Ben Chafin followed by Senator Mark Peake.
From the VCDL email announcing the report:
The Senate had 15 100% scores out of 40 senators. All were Republicans.
The Republican senator with the lowest score was Senator Emmitt Hanger with a 57% score.
The top 3 Republicans in the House also include a tie for number one between Delegates Jeff Campbell and Michael Webert. Second place went to Delegate Nick Freitas and Delegate Matt Fariss received third.
From the VCDL email:
The House had 46 100% scores out of 100 delegates! All were Republicans.
The Republican delegate with the lowest score was Delegate Robert Orrock with an 83% score.
Democrats, of course, scored poorly proving once again that if you want to protect your gun rights, then you better vote Republican. The best score of any Democrat state senator was only 20%. Five Democrats in the Senate received a 0%, which includes Senator Louise Lucas, who VCDL describes as “the absolute bottom of the barrel.”
