Rep. Dave Brat of Virginia’s 7th District reported strong fundraising numbers for the first financial quarter of 2018. His re-election campaign has been targeted by Democrats nationally as a seat that could be competitive, but Brat and his team are showing us that he is in great position to defend his seat.
Brat raised $249,661 in the first quarter and currently has $646,355 cash on hand. Both those numbers out pace his potential challengers, who are running for the Democratic nomination in the June 12th primary. Brat was unopposed for the Republican nomination.
