Jerusalem Is The Capital Of Israel

Israel’s government sits in Jerusalem, therefore the capital of Israel is Jerusalem. Simple.

But the other side wants Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, so we can’t call it the capital. That is the compromise adults came up with.

President Donald Trump doesn’t care for this kind of crap. This afternoon he is expected to announce that the capital of Israel will be recognized as the capital of Israel. Again, Israel’s government sits in Jerusalem, therefore the capital of Israel is Jerusalem.

This really shouldn’t be so hard.

From an NPR article;

Trump’s announcement, expected Wednesday afternoon, essentially endorses the Israeli position on the city.

Imagine that. Taking the same “position,” on which city houses the government, of the country whose government is in that city, is the most accurate choice.

Hopefully this commonsense move will help restore relations with Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East, after some unfortunate tensions during the Obama administration. As a candidate, Trump made it clear that he will embrace Israel. Today’s expected announcement does just that.
