Democrat presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand was talking to restaurant patrons in Iowa when a young woman walked by totally uninterested in listening to the longshot candidate. As she passed by Gillibrand reached her hand out and the young lady, trying to avoid Gillibrand all together, simply said, “I’m just trying to get some ranch.”
And there you have it folks. The interest level in starting a 2020 presidential campaign this far out cannot be better articulated than “I’m just trying to get some ranch.” Aren’t we all? Aren’t we all? It’s going to be a looooonnnngggg campaign.
