General Assembly Session Day One

Today at 12noon Virginia’s General Assembly will convene for the 2020 session. A new majority and new leadership are now in place with the Republicans in the minority in both chambers.

The biggest problem for Republicans this session is that the embarrassment we have for a governor has no political capital; anything the radical Democrats pass through the legislature Northam will have to sign. He can’t afford another round of calls for his resignation. Northam survived the first round by just waiting it out and he may be able to do that again but I doubt he’ll put himself in the situation during this session.

Here are just a few of the outrageous bills introduced by Democrats. Conservatives need to stop these bills asap. Bills are listed by Bill Number, Bill Name, Patron, Current Status, Link to LIS, Notes.
