Ed Yensho For Greene County GOP Chair

ConservativeVirginia.com supports Ed Yensho for chairman of the Greene County Republican Committee. Yensho is a true grassroots activist, a loyal Party leader, and a straight-down-the-line honest and fair person to work with.

Yensho has lived in Greene County for over 20 years. He is currently the chairman of the Greene County Republican Committee, and he also sits on State Central Committee as a member representing the 5th Congressional District.

I’ve worked directly with Yensho on a few campaigns and he has always been hard working, accessible, and fair. A few years ago he and I supported different candidates in a nominating contest. After the candidate I supported won the nomination Yensho was immediately right there to help my candidate win the General Election because that is what a responsible unit chairman needs to do. He was open and honest with me and the campaign and he did a great job turning out volunteers and organizing local events such as the Stanardsville 4th of July parade, the Greene County Pig Roast, and a program for phone calls from home. Unit chairs need to fully support the Republican nominees and Yensho has always done that with grace and determination.

As a member of State Central Committee he can be counted on to vote with the conservatives. An example of this came up just last Saturday when he voted in favor of a resolution opposing Medicaid expansion. Unfortunately the resolution, somehow, did not pass! I still can’t believe that of all places the Republican Party of Virginia’s State Central Committee could not pass a resolution opposing Medicaid expansion. Very disappointing. But Yensho voted the right way.

We need to hold unit chairs to a higher standard than other Republican Party members. Among that standard is their willingness to help all of our Party’s nominees. In this case, Yensho has always supported our nominees with fairness and hard work, he is always accessible to campaigns, he is well organized, he votes with conservatives for conservative principles, and he has proved to be a winner as Greene County has turned out a high percentage for Republican candidates. He has done everything asked of him as a unit chair. There is no compelling case to vote him out as chairman as he deserves to be re-elected.

We encourage every Republican attending tonight’s meeting in Greene County to cast their vote for Ed Yensho for Chairman.
