The State Board of Elections finally got around to certifying the election results for House Districts 28 and 88. This officially gives Republicans a one seat majority going into several recounts.

Republican Bob Thomas won the 28th by 82 votes, Republican Delegate Tim Hugo won re-election in District 40 by 106 votes, and Republican Delegate David Yancey won re-election in District 94 by only 10 votes. Should those totals hold, then House Republicans will have a razor thin majority and will need every vote to pass legislation over to the State Senate, where Republicans also have a razor thin majority and need every vote to pass legislation.

Oh boy. Next session will be interesting.
