Adoption, Not Abortion

Election 2019 may have found its rally cry yesterday at the General Assembly. Delegate Kathy Tran, a freshmen Democrat, sponsored a bill that would allow for third trimester abortions, up to the point of delivery. Thankfully, a Republican majority in the committee that heard this crazy bill defeated it.

Tran will be up for re-election this coming November along with every member of the House. Can we please find someone to run against this crazy abortionist? At the point of delivery I think we can all agree that adoption is the answer, not killing the poor child.

And it’s not just Tran as a lone wolf either. Her efforts are supported by House Democrats. This abortion at delivery bill had 20 Democrat co-sponsors. 20!

Currently Republicans hold a one seat majority thanks to winning a tie breaker by drawing lots. If Democrats take the House majority then crazy bills like abortion up to delivery could very well pass committee, pass the House, pass the State Senate (Sen. Emmett Hanger is really a Democrat so the Ds effectively have the majority in that chamber already), and then be signed into law by the Democrat governor.

The current Democrat delegation in Virginia’s House includes an avowed socialist, a tranny, and now an abortionist who wants to end a child’s life at the moment of delivery. This is the modern day Democrat Party. Today’s Democrats are not your parents’ Democrats. Former president John F. Kennedy could not win a nomination contest.

Democrats have offered plenty of far leftist bills this session but abortion at the moment of delivery is by far the craziest.

Republicans need to hold the majority more so now than ever. But weak House Speaker Kirk Cox couldn’t get a satisfying redistricting plan through his chamber so the liberal courts have redrawn enough House districts that will make things very tough for Republicans to hold the one seat majority. We either stand and pushback hard, or move to Tennessee.

The best thing is to be ready to work our tails off this fall. Plan on volunteering for your local House and State Senate race. Plan on volunteering for a neighboring race that will be highly competitive. Plan on donating what you can. Plan on helping. We need all hands on deck or this ship is going to sink and Virginia will turn into a horrible combination of New York and California. God save the Old Dominion.
